The old farmers house in Diano Arentino 

The first humans lived in the valley of Diano Marina in the stone age. The valley was mostly covered by beech trees. The forest was dedicated to the Celtic goodness Borman. The antic Romans constructed the via Julia Augusta ( 183 – 13 b. Christ ) and founded  a rest station for their soldiers near the forest called “Lucus Bormani”. Near that station the first little village named “pagus Diani” was constructed. In the forest the antic Romans built a temple dedicated to their goodness of hunting “Diana”. In this location the village Diano Arentino was built. It’s mentioned already in the 12. century as an important point of communication between the valley of Imperia, the valley of Diano Marina and the Piemont. 

Even if Diano Marina, in part destroyed by the earthquake of the 23 Feb. 1887, became touristy in 1891, when the Hotel Paradiso was built, the valley of Diano Marina and the small villages remained to the olive farmers until our days.

The house which is for sale was renovated by the owner, son of a farmer; in 2003. Outside the old stone walls were reconditioned. Inside all the works were done, apart the finishing of floors with flagstones. In a couple of weeks the works can be completely finished. The nice garden has an iron fence. There is also a garage and a big storage.
